Penang Port Commision (PPC) and Star Cruises held a welcome reception to celebrate
the homecoming of SuperStar Libra to Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal (SPCT) on 22 September
2016.
The event marks a second season for the ship following an inaugural home - porting season
from 31 December 2010 to 18 July 2015 at Penang Port.
On hand to receive the arrival of the ship were PPC's Chairman Mr. Tan Teik Cheng, PPC's
General Manager Mr. Mohamad Puzi Mohamad Nazir, Chairman of Penang Port Sdn. Bhd.
(PPSB) Dato' Syed Mohamad Syed Murtaza, senior officers from PPC and invited quests.
SuperStar Libra will be stationed in Penang and will make SPCT as its homeport once again at
least until the end of 2017. The homecoming of SuperStar Libra will provide holiday - seekers
with a unique holiday option which includes a trip to Phuket and Krabi in Thailand and a cruise
to nowhere.
Star Cruises has relocated the operation of SuperStar Libra from Penang to Xiamen on July
2015 before sailing back to Penang today
